Hi, I’m Jim Carbaugh.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned throughout my life, it’s that people don’t change because they’re told to—they change because they’re inspired, equipped, and supported.
I grew up in Franklin County, PA and graduated from Greencastle–Antrim High School before heading to Midland University in Nebraska.
There, I earned my degree in Biology and Environmental Science while living out another dream—playing college football as a starting Warrior. Looking back, those experiences taught me some of life’s most important lessons about teamwork, discipline, resilience, and leadership.
When I returned home to Pennsylvania, I discovered my true calling in education.
Over the next four decades, I had the privilege of teaching middle and high school students, coaching football and track, and serving as a middle school administrator. Every classroom, practice field, hallway conversation, and leadership meeting reinforced one simple truth: people thrive when they feel valued, challenged, and connected to a shared purpose.
That belief eventually became the foundation of the L.E.A.R.N. Framework™, a flexible culture-building and leadership approach tailored for schools, teams, and organizations seeking meaningful change.
Along the way, I’ve been blessed with opportunities to share that message in many different ways.
I created Outdoor Answer, an outdoor education television segment that aired on CBS21 and FOX43, founded All Points Leadership, and co-founded the TeachForward Initiative, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting educators and strengthening leadership in schools.
I’ve also enjoyed putting these ideas into writing.
From co-authoring the international bestseller Cracking the Rich Code to publishing The Shop Secret: LEARN What Pap Knew and my own international bestseller L.E.A.R.N.: A Transformative Educational Framework That Inspires Character, Resilience, and Leadership, my goal has always been the same—to provide practical tools that help people lead with confidence and purpose. Today, the LEARN family continues to grow with implementation guides, educator workbooks, leadership resources, and coaching tools designed to make lasting cultural change possible.
